AikiJutsu

Aikijitsu / Aiki ju jutsu / Bujutsu / Japanese Jujutsu



Our Aikijutsu class is an all encompassing martial art which means it involves all aspects of the martial arts. 
You will practice, the throwing arts, ground work, Atemi arts (punching and kicking) Kushu Arts nerve/pressure points (both healing and non healing), buki wasa (weapons training, ancient and modern), meditation and healing, discipline and awareness.  What is required of our students - Work as a community, complete awareness, true commitment to self, dojo and other students, train intensely, do no harm.
 
This class, which is limited to 20 students, is currently on hold through the summer months and we will restart in September.   However, we will have a few weekend seminars throughout this summer. Please conact us if you are interested in participating in these events.

Our Sensei
 recommends that if you are interested in the Aikijutsu program, that you would be best prepared if you begin your training in the Aikido program.  In order to prepare your body for the rigorous physical training accompanied with the Aikijutsu class, the majority of our current students train in both programs to maintain flexibility and physical fitness as well as gain from the philosophical benefits that aikido brings into ones life.

 

If you are looking for a classic old style Japanese martial art this class is for you. It is a non-competitive, safe martial art practice where we study and train to protect rather then destroy, we train to evolve as human beings.
